Albania toward Russian Market in tourism.
Following the three day visit to Russia, Director of the National Tourism Agency, Mr. Ardit Çollaku paid a visit to the city of Kazan, which is the richest capital of the Russian Republic, Tartastan, accompanied by Albanian tour operators with representatives Z . Hysen Rojba and President of the association of Russian compatriots in Albania “ORSA” Mrs. Suzana Karagjozi. Mr. Çollaku was received at a meeting by the Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tartastanit, Mr. Sergey Ivanov. He praised the role of the NTA for the initiative in promoting tourism in Russia and invited Albanian National Tourism Agency to become part of the International Fair of Moscow in the coming years. Mr. Ivanov expressed interest in Albanian Tourist market and said that they are open for cooperation as Albania evaluated not only for its natural beauties culture, tradition and food, but also for the security and religious harmony.
This meeting also was attended by representatives of Russian tour operators interested to cooperate with Albanian tourist operators and agencies. Albania is very attractive for foreign tourists noted Mr. Çollaku, who presented a broad overview of the potential of AlbanianTourism highlighting important reforms being undertaken by Albania in improving this sector as one of the priority sectors of Albanian government for the country’s Economic Development and invited representatives of Russian Tourism with a group of journalists and tour operators, to make a tour of several days in Albania during April.
Meetings countinued with representatives of the Investment and Development Agency in the Republic of Tartastanit and representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. At this meeting was discussed about opportunities of cooperation between two countries and possibilities that Albania offers for investment in tourism and Free Economic Zones. Russian Side proposed the participation of Albanian Agency of Investment and Development, National Tourism Agency and Albanian chambers of Commerce Economic Forum, to be held in Kazan at the end of May this year. In this forum participate potential investors, representatives and leaders of the Investment agencies from different countries of the world and would be a good opportunity to introduce the business climate, conditions and facilities offered by our country.
