Beverages Canteen Skanderbeg is the biggest winery in the country. Situated on the hill of Rrashbull it lies in an area about 45,000 m2. Its origins is from 1933, where was created by an Italian family in Sukth, whose become simple processing of grapes with modest kapacity. In 1957 began construction on the hill of Rrashbull Canteen. The winery got a new dimension in 1960, at this time were constructed 3 buildings, where the capacity of production rosed. Voluminous construction work continued until 1987, by transforming this winery to the biggest winery in the country. The products were wine cellar, cognac, Ferneti, brandy and other drinks. Brewery products are evaluated several times with awards in national and international competitions.
In 2001 started the privatization of the winery. This privatization gave a great impetus to the development of the winery. It raises the degree of automation of work in cellars, which led to increasing the quality of products. The winery now owns a vineyard in its area of 40 ha of hills Arapaj. The whole grape that produces this sector of the winery used as feedstock for the production of white wines and red. Grape clusters in the technical maturity when the percentage of sugar has reached over 20%. The winery’s product range has grown. Now produces about 13 varieties wines such as: Primitivo, Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Black Square, Esplanade White, Cabernet, Montepulciano, Malvasia Nera, Malvasia Bianca etc. Our winery also produces and other alcoholic drinks such as Brandy Skanderbeg, Bato Brandy, Brandy Moskat, Grape Brandy, Fernet, Ponce Orange, Nekar Primitivo, various liqueurs, vinegar and red white and Balsamico vinegar.
